Henry Hayes is an editor living and working in Brooklyn, NY. He attended film school at NYU Tisch. After school, he began working as an assistant editor, with credits on GOAT (2016) and PATTI CAKE$ (2017). In 2018, he edited his first feature, MICKEY AND THE BEAR, which premiered domestically at SXSW in 2019 and internationally at the Cannes Film Festival. Mickey was released theatrically across the country in November of 2019.

His second feature, Cooper Raiff’s CHA CHA REAL SMOOTH, premiered at Sundance in 2022 to critical acclaim. It won the Audience Award for U.S. Dramatic Features and was purchased by Apple. His two latest feature films, Kristian Mercado’s IF YOU WERE THE LAST and Brittany Snow’s PARACHUTE will premiere at SXSW in March of 2023.

As a commercial editor, Henry tries to bring a calm and fun sensibility to the edit suite. He’s worked on projects for clients including Walmart, Netflix, Snapchat, AT&T and Apple.
